Austin Lacemakers Guild @ Austin Bergstrom Int'l Airport

The Austin Lacemakers Guild is a charter member of the International Old Lacers, Incorporated.   They practice the art of making lace by using a pattern mounted on a pillow and manipulating bobbins holding the thread.  They also make lace using other techniques such as tatting, crochet, knit and needlelace. Formed in 1987, the membership is open to anyone who is interested in making, collecting or studying lace in its various forms.  The purpose of the organization is to stimulate interest in lace, to improve upon the quality of the workmanship, to develop and perpetuate the appreciation of artistic breaty in the finished product and to to instruct its members in the methods and techniques in all forms of lacemaking. www.lacebobbins.com/Austin Lace.htm

  1. I would like to learn more about some extraordinary lace pieces I inherited. I would love to have the possibility of meeting with your group or members of the group to learn more about lace so I can better understand and appreciate what I have inherited.

Would that be possible? Are you planning on any meeting in November?
