Brenda j Bunten-Schloesser upcoming shows



Brenda is a full-time studio artist working in the Houston, Texas area. A graduate from the Kansas City Art Institute (Kansas City, Missouri) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Brenda has been working with fiber as a studio artist for over 30 years.

Originally from Indiana, Brenda has lived and worked in numerous locations throughout the United States including New Jersey, Kansas, Alabama, and Washington. You can see her diverse background in many of the pieces she has created.

The emphasis of Brenda’s work is surface design on fiber. Brenda’s work reflects the journey of life, the path we have all traveled; always changing and evolving. Her art is full of surprises that spark the optimistic emotion in people.

Brenda is an active member in several organizations including the Surface Design Association, Mixed Media Artists of Houston and local Houston Area Fiber Artists (HAFA) group. She is often called upon to provide support to local galleries and exhibits. Brenda enjoys helping to promote awareness of Fiber Art.
